Recently, the Philippines hosted the International Veterans Table Tennis Championship. Held from November 22nd to the 25th, this event hosted some the world’s best “older” players.

Personally, I felt as though it was very inspiring to see these players still have the passion to compete and smash shots past their opponents with precision touch. Here is some footage from this event:

I particularly enjoyed the intense rallies between the two players at 0:33.

It get my juices to boil when I see players who work extra hard to earn their points. These players executed just about every shot one can think of. A must see!

This was the first annual championship of its kind. With 48 teams hailing from 11 countries including USA, Japan, China, Australia, England, and Hong Kong, this friendly competition attracted many of the past champions to face off against one another for the top honors.

Some of these former champions included Hong Kong’s Ma Yu Long, Australia’s Paul Pinkewich, Malaysia’s Ling Ting Sik, and Taiwan’s lady champion Hsu Mei Ling.
