Funding for Ping Pong
The fact of the matter is that there are loads of bursaries and funds to aid businesses, community centers, and organizations from supporting companies and the government.
The problem is that people are unaware of it, or do not think they can get one.
The companies supplying them, or the government, have massive chunks of funding money for such things that they do not know what to do with. But they are not going to simply look you up in the phonebook and see if you need one.
Only businesses or organizations that ASK for a bursary can receive funding. There are some table tennis companies beginning to support table tennis in schools and trying to broaden the scope to make table tennis more accessible and to get more people playing seriously.
However, there are many small organizations of table tennis facilities and community centres that are lacking adequate funding to promote themselves, supply themselves with sufficient and decent equipment, and to be available with more hours for persons to play.
But, there’s no need to worry. There are many grants that can be had by simply applying for them and requesting funding for your table tennis organizations.
They have the money. And the reason they have so much is because nobody applies for it.
Table tennis is a very healthy sport as I have mentioned in a previous post and is thus a good cause to promote in schools or in playing facilities that require better equipment or are in need of promoting the game to the public.
Call up your local MLA, government representative or table tennis provider and see if they can help support this great game.
