The old question: players with pips are disappearing! But why a style is so deserted? He Zhi Wen is still hard to be defeated!!

There are actually still some players using pips. For example Ai Fukuhara (Japan).

In India there are very few Pen holder players who are playing competitive table tennis - there may be around 4 of them. Im lucky to be one of them to name a few : KK rai, Thomas lee, one guy from assam , Prateek deo ( thats me)

Nice to know about you Prateek, I had heard about Thomas Lee and KK Rai, Came to know about you now. I play in KTTA circuit regularly and picking up. :-). Are you in Assam team ?

good to meet you , so are u a penholder too ?

im in the Maharashtra team ( veterans) , and KK rai happens to be my Sir.
tho im still playing the District and state circuit ( normal mens) regularly and the club league also.

Good to meet you too Prateek. I play with the J-Pen grip. I guess you all play with Chinese penhold ? I had heard about KK Rai and Thomas Lee from Manideep Sen, If you are in veterans team you may have heard about him. Is KK Rai Based in Pune ? How is he as a penhold coach ?

Yes mithun i play chinese penhold and RPB also , both KK sir and Thomas lee play traditional C-Pen style. 

KK rai sir is based in MUMbai , hes a all rounder coach , but he has only student thats me whos penhold. hes a fantastic coach , with a lot of focus, and since im the only penhold player i get to know all the tricks and a lot of attention also :))

Good to see there are still some pen holders here. I am a J-pen holder (Yasaka Musashi; F: Yasaka V-Stage, B: Yasaka Fusion). This is my main bat. I have also got a C-pen recently as a back up (Stiga Maplewood; F: Donic Baracuda, B: Donic Baracuda Big Slam) but haven't managed to get use to the grip...

What are you guys' set-up?

my blade graduation was from : Stiga offensive classic ( shakehand grip) - Stiga WRB offensive classic ( C- Pen) - Donic Persson power V1 ( c pen) - Yasaka Ma Lin Carbon ( C pen)
