Five Good Reasons To Get A Table Tennis Robot

We’ve all wanted our own robots from time to time. I’d like mine to wash my dishes and do the laundry. A table tennis robot won’t do that, but it can help you improve your health and your game.

A table tennis robot is sometimes referred to as a “ball dispenser.” You attach the device to the table. It holds anywhere from sixteen to forty balls. As the device pitches the balls, you practice hitting them back. A net strung across the far end of the table catches the balls so you won’t have to chase them all over the room.

Buying a table tennis robot will cost you anywhere from $40 to $1000+, and you definitely get what you pay for. In some sports, you can squeak by with equipment from the budget basement, but when it comes to the table tennis robot, if you buy a cheap product, you’ll get a cheap product.

Right about now, you may be thinking that a table tennis robot sounds pretty nice, not just $1000 worth of nice. And it’s true that a tennis robot is not the right tool everyone. Here are five reasons why it might be the right tool for you.

#1. Trouble Finding Playing Partners

If you enjoy a good game of ping pong, but the other significant people in your life do not, a table tennis robot is an appealing alternative. Most models allow you to set the balls to come at you fairly quickly with random shots, just as if you were playing a real live opponent. So, a table tennis robot will help fix your ping pong jones without driving your friends insane.

#2. Exercise

Most health care experts recommend that we get anywhere from thirty to sixty minutes of exercise every day. A good, hard game of ping pong, whether you play it with another person or with a table tennis robot, certainly counts as exercise. If ping pong is your preferred form of exercise, and you do not have a partner, friends, or children who are willing to play with you on a regular basis, a robot might be a sound investment in your health. After all, many people spend twice as much money on sophisticated tread mills, elliptical machines, rowing machines, etc.

#3. Improving Hand-Eye Coordination, Especially in Kids

Sports like tennis and ping pong help kids develop improved hand-eye coordination. Ideally, of course, you will be regularly available to play table tennis with your child and offer pointers and encouragement, but if you’re not available, consider getting a low cost table tennis robot and encouraging your child to play a little while every day.

#4. Learning To Handle An Opponent’s Best Shots

If you’re a casual or tournament player who constantly finds yourself stymied by back spins, top spins, or any other kind of shot, you can program your table tennis robot to serve you nothing but those shots until you get the hang of them.

#5. Taking Your Play To The Next Level

Is your backhand non-existent? Do you have trouble putting spin on the ball? Most people will not patiently serve us ball after ball as we work on our weak points, but a table tennis robot will. It also won’t laugh at us while we’re learning a new technique, nor will it gleefully announce the score every time you miss a shot.

So, whether you’re a kid, a casual player, or a champ, purchasing a table tennis robot may offer you many benefits.
